The Production Scheduler is responsible for creating and managing an accurate production schedule for internal and external suppliers that considers production capacity, customer priorities, raw material/components, and data integrity.
As a key member of the production department the Production Scheduler is responsible for working directly with all departments to develop timely production schedules at the lowest cost while achieving customer service requested ship dates objectives, providing a stable production schedule that optimizes line efficiency with inventory carrying costs; plans and purchases imported goods; participates in and leads process improvements that deliver cost savings in production planning areas; and ensures that the appropriate amount of inventory is held to meet customer service goals while minimizing carrying costs and improving production efficiencies.
Additionally, this position works with the Quality Management Team (QMT) on production plans and planned purchases for new products; integral involvement with development, implementation and use of clear processes, procedures, systems, and accountability for the entire import and purchased finished goods supply chain. Excellent knowledge of ERP software systems with NAV experience a strong requirement.
