Challenge
Customer requested odorless, highly durable surfacing system due to proximity of habitable space and owner’s desire for a long-term, worry-free waterproofing system.
Solution
Installed Kemperol 2K-PUR odorless reinforced membrane at all critical intersects with TC surfacing system on horizontal surfaces for traffic wear as well as aesthetic appearance.
Challenge
Replace existing failed waterproofing membrane from a series of terraces located adjacent to occupied office areas.
Solution
The existing waterproofing was removed, followed by the application of Kemperol waterproofing membrane and a Kemperdur aggregate surfacing. The odor-free characteristics of the Kemperol system allowed installation to be performed during business hours with no interruption to the building’s business activities.
Challenge
The restoration of the 25-year-old tower included recovering 28 executive suite balconies after failure of previous deck coating applications. The project specified essential waterproofing requirements, especially difficult logistics for access and avoidance of any odor entering the building.
Solution
The self-terminating odorless Kemperol 2K-PUR membrane easily adapted to the door saddle details without requiring curbs to be built for the 15,000-square-foot project. Odorless Kemperol TC surfacing system was applied to accommodate the heavy pedestrian traffic.
Challenge
Existing high-rise residential apartment building roof leaked and presented unique logistical challenges. Required a balcony waterproofing system that would allow for heavy pedestrian traffic. Owner requested minimum disruption for tenants.
Solution
Edge-to-edge application of seamless 2K-PUR, odorless membrane with epoxy primer and 165 reinforced fleece. The odorless Kemperol TC surfacing
system with a sand finish provided an excellent solution for extensive
pedestrian traffic on terraces.
